My dearest TIPsters,
I didn't get the chance to make some kind of big speech or coach's corner or anything like that before you all left to resume your lives back home so I thought that I would do that here.
It is very difficult to put into words just how blessed I feel that I get to do what I do at TIP in the summer. It is something that I truthfully look forward to every year, all year. TIP is where I learned that I was not just someone interested in philosophy, but someone who was called to be a teacher. TIP is also where I learned how to teach in the best and most forgiving environment for rookie educators. I learned so much and I learned it from all of you. For that, I am eternally grateful.
I would also like to thank all of you who have been in my class these past two terms for being amazing. I loved working through tough ideas, asking hard questions, and sometimes even dealing with no workable answers to the questions we asked. I loved laughing along with you when we watched Regular Show and Adventure Time for "educational purposes." I loved getting to be around all of you amazing people. I'm so lucky to have gotten to know you for the three weeks we had together.
In closing, thanks again for a fantastic summer. You are all wonderful people and you are going to have amazing lives.
Best,
JB
